Poster conventions
Like most horror film posters, mine features an image of the villain. But it doesn't follow the most commonly used convention, which is to put an image of the main character on it.
Magazine cover conventions

My magazine cover is quite conventional. It has the usual features such as; masthead, skyline, main image, puffs, articles and banners. The red and black colour scheme is a definite connotation of the horror genre.
However I have challenged some conventions of real media products with the position of my barcode and the changes in colour (with the red puffs).
